1. What have you ordered to eat at work 100 times and still aren’t sick of?

Half sweet potato, half parmesan and chive fries- side of smoked ketchup.

Our chopped salad with grilled salmon.

Anything with our hollandaise on it- The Kitchen knows I’m a celiac so they always prepare little dishes of deliciousness for me 🙂

  1. What’s your favourite side-duty?

Polishing cutlery- I find the process of it soothing and I like well polished cutlery so… ya know.

  1. What’s your post-work drink?

White Hot chocolate with almond milk from Blenz or if it was a slow day maybe just a coffee from 7-11. I’m classy like that … or I take pleasure in the small things, it’s anyone’s guess.

  1. What can’t you start your shift without?

My favourite Pen and a Olympic greek-style yogurt- seriously that stuff is the bomb. I first fell in love with the Café flavoured ones but their Honey and the Lemon one are also fantastic- SERVER TIP- have a good relationship with the kitchen and they might let you put it in the freezer to freeze! GAME CHANGER!

  1. What’s your favourite part about serving?

Creating a memorable experience for people- teaching people about the food- where its from, how it’s presented.

*Biggest payoff- being able to completely change someone’s mood with my personality and skill and having them leave with a smile on their face…even better is it surprises them.

I love getting to work with great people and building a relationship as co-workers. Having great people surround you makes all the difference in the world.

  1. Who’s your favourite regular?

Patrick- is just such a delight to be around- really reminds me to live a life of gratitude and humility- even if I’m having the worst day seeing him turn it all around and fills my heart.

  1. Where is your favourite place to be?

Where ever my family is – So Here because of Hunter, Winnipeg for my Brother,Sister-in-law and Nephew and Edmonton for my Parents and friends I grew up with.

  1. What’s your favourite brunch place?

Oh my goodness, I rarely get to go for brunch because I’m usually working it… But Medina’s is great and has celiac options… or the Wallflower.

  1. What takes up most of your free time?

My other job as an actor and when not cultivating and curating that …Adventuring with my puppy Hunter.

  1. What makes you happiest?

Connecting with people, playing with Hunter, spending time with my family. Changing someone’s day around.

  1. Where do you want to travel?

Where do I NOT want to travel would be easier. But if I could get on a plane right now and fly anywhere I would go to South Africa and then spend time traveling in and around there.

Or Ireland because that is where my brother and his family will be this summer… and there is another babe on the way 🙂

  1. What’s the best compliment you’ve received at work?

You completely changed my mood around and that surprised me… didn’t think anything was going to get me out of it.

  1. Tell me one of your go-to one-liners at work?

Me: Can I start you out with Voss Sparkling or Still or the 2017 Vancouver Classic.

Guest : What’s That last one?

Me: the good ol’ original.

I think I end up selling less bottled water because of it but I love it.

Guest: I’m not sure about dessert.

Me: well if you get the chocolate cremeaux you are SAVING an endangered animal.

Guest : This Salmon is delicious.

Me: Why thank you I caught it myself this morning.

  1. When you’ve got five minutes before any of your tables need you, what are you doing?

Seeing if can help other servers and then either running food or hanging out at the pass… or eating my yogurt.

  1. What’s your favourite season in this industry? Why?

Summer- People are usually in the best mood because of the weather and it’s busy.

Christmas- Because people are in the spirit and it makes serving a pleasure.

  1. If you could wear anything to work, what would it be?

A simple black dress and my apron- maybe a cardigan if it was cold and sneakers that are like pillows to walk on but don’t look terrible- like a cute and extremely comfortable sneaker.

  1. What’s your favourite type of table to serve?

Couples who are in the 40’s-60’s who just generally enjoy life and like to enjoy an amazing meal and drink expensive wine.

A table of Ladies out for dinner- We have a blast- they usually end up asking me to join the table.

  1. What do you notice first when going out to eat?

The attitude of the people working there.

  1. What’s the best way to get your servers attention?

Just waving it around in the air and grabbing anyone who passes by- whether or not they resemble your server or not. J/K

Saying, “excuse me,” politely.

  1. Would you rather: work an entire shift on roller skates or eat a spoonful of expired mayo from the back of the walk-in?

Wow roller skates seems like fun and if it’s only for one shift, no matter how it ends up turning out, after 8 hours it would be over…. expired mayo could have repercussions for DAYS!
